SBL in Medicine: Authoring and Implementing Interactive Virtual Patient Scenarios

Anotace: The interactive session on competency-driven education in medicine will allow participants to acquire knowledge about how educational activities and resources can be better designed to target clinical competencies, improving the preparedness of learners for clinical practice. The session will cover available technologies, the use of scenarios, and how to address the challenge of curriculum transformation based upon the experiences of the contributing organizations: E-learning Unit at St George’s University in London and Institute of Biostatistics and Analyses at Masaryk University.
V současné době (podzim 2014) probíhá průzkum mezi pedagogy teoretických a klinických oborů vyučovaných na lékařských a zdravotnických fakultách zapojených do vzdělávací sítě MEFANET (všechny lékařské a zdravotnické fakulty v ČR a SR). Průzkum je zaměřený na využívání nástrojů a metod kazuistických forem výuky a učení, a to v rámci evropského projektu CROESUS (Clinical reasoning skills enhancements with the use of simulations and algorithms). Využívá se přitom dotazníku vycházejícího svou strukturou i obsahem ze studie realizované v rámci evropského projektu eViP (www.virtualpatients.eu). Symposium on medical curriculum harmonization (OPTIMED)

Anotace: The need for standardized curriculum particularly in medical education is indispensable. In the symposium a brand new and original medical curriculum optimization methodology including web-oriented platform within tertiary education will be described. The symposium will focus on theoretical background, practical introduction and analytical overview of the OPTIMED project.
